EAR CANDLING

Ear candling is a safe, simple, natural way to remove excess wax and debris from inside the ears. Long tapered candles are inserted gently into the ears, then lit. The candle creates a slight vacuum effect, oxidizing, vaporing and drawing softened wax and debris from the ears. This is a very gentle and non- invasive process.  They are made of 100% unbleached cotton muslin fabric and a Soy/Bees wax blend. They are approx. 12 inches in length and approx 5/8" in diameter

The practice of ear candling dates back approximately 2,500 years to the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Tibetan and American Indian cultures. Today, it is practiced by many cultures and is taught in German medical schools.

Ear candling works by the candle burning, which produces smoke that moves the debris out of the ear. Osmosis (diffusion thro ugh a semi- permeable membrane, e.g., skin) plays an important role as the smoke soothes the sinus and nasal cavities. Excess ear wax is moved through the ear canal into the cone.

Ear candling does not hurt. Most people experience a gentle warmth in the ear canal which has a soothing, relaxing effect. There is a slight crackling sound as the candle burns.

A standard ear candling session can last for up to one hour. Each candle burns for about 15 minutes and two candles are burned in each ear.

There is no claim that ear candles cure any specific disease. We recommend that you ask for and follow your doctor's advise concerning any health problems

Following the ear candling session, it is recommended that you do not put your head under water for 24 hours. You should use a small amount of cotton in your ears for the first two to three hours if you are going to be outside, especially if it is cold or windy.
